In September 2024, TKT was awarded the BYD - OGL (Olectra Greentech Limited) trophy for Best Ongoing Support Partner. This is in recognition of our continued supply of high-quality bus HVAC. Then in October, OGL's new electric buses went into service. These new buses are 12 meters long. The main color of the body is green, reflecting the fact that they are a new energy source and represent a green environment.
The OGL's new buses use our electric bus air conditioner, model 420E. This bus HVAC has a cooling capacity of up to 143K BTU. And it can meet the cooling needs of 10m-12m electric buses. Even if the bus opens and closes its doors frequently, it can still provide a comfortable and cool environment for passengers.

The configuration of this electric bus air conditioner is top-notch and the quality is fantastic. Because its quality has been tested over 20 years of time. On top of that, it has withstood the test of the environment in more than 80 regions around the world.
1, The compressor: the world's first-class brand Japan SANYO Brand Vortex Compressor, it has stable performance, a long life. After our senior engineers repeatedly confirmed and measured, we chose the current speed of the model. This model balances flow, pressure, efficiency, stability, noise, and energy consumption. This is the result of more than 20 years of TKT Bus HVAC experience.

The answer is no. Because too high a compressor speed can lead to poor oil return to the system, which in turn can lead to increased wear and tear of the internal parts of the compressor, affecting its service life, etc.
In addition, speed that is too high can lead to high power consumption. For buses, the balance of energy consumption is a very important part.
2, Condensing Fans: This bus HVAC we have used 6 large-sized condensing fans. Increasing its speed and size improves the heat exchange volume. The measured data of airflow is more than 9000 cubic meters per hour.
3, Patented high-end core: the core of the evaporator and condenser, using a patented technology. This patent, narrowed the gap between the copper tubes by 16%. Under the same area, more copper tubes can further improve the heat exchange efficiency.
Bus HVAC stands for Bus Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and is a comprehensive system that integrates heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The system provides a comfortable, healthy, and temperature-appropriate environment for the passengers inside the bus.
This 420E can not only cool but also add a heating module. We designed this to meet the needs of other cold regions and countries.
Temperatures are slightly cold, we recommend using a heat pump or leaving it out.
The temperature is cold, we recommend using a heat pump or electric heater.
If the temperature is high cold, we recommend fuel heater or PTC heater.
In addition to the heating system that comes with the bus HVAC, we also recommend adding a separate independent water heater (oil heater or PTC heater) under the bus seats, or an electric heater. Because this combination ensures optimal heating efficiency and passenger comfort.
Bus HVAC is based on the principle of vapor compression refrigeration, where a series of components work together to regulate the temperature inside the bus.
1, Compression Process: The compressor first absorbs low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant gas. After these gases are compressed, they are discharged as high-temperature, high-pressure gas.
2, Condensation Process: The high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant gas enters the condenser, exchanges heat with the outside air, and then cools down to become a high-pressure liquid.
3, Throttling Process: After the high-pressure refrigerant liquid passes through the throttle valve, both the pressure and temperature are reduced. Then it becomes a low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant liquid.
4, Evaporation Process: The low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant liquid first enters the evaporator. It absorbs the heat of the air in the bus and evaporates into gas. At the same time, the cold air formed inside the evaporator is blown into the bus by the fan to reduce the temperature inside the bus.
5, Cycle Process: The evaporated refrigerant gas is sucked into the compressor again and a new cycle begins.
I briefly summarize it as follows.
First, you need to confirm the type of bus you have. You need to understand whether they are electric or diesel. Because electric buses usually use electric air conditioning. Diesel buses can only use engine bus air conditioning.
Next, you need to confirm the size and curvature of your bus roof. Usually, the size and curvature of a standard bus is fine. However, some special modified buses or school buses with large curves do exist. Cooling solutions for such special vehicles require special customization.
Finally, combine this with the space or seating capacity of your bus to make an initial determination of the amount of cooling needed. We also incorporate your local temperature.
